I grew up in a dysfunctional home, surrounded by alcohol abuse, emotional neglect, poverty and constant criticism. I endured bullying, body-shaming, and the devastating loss of my father and my little brother at just 10/11 years old. The pain ran deep, and I carried it into adulthood—leading to toxic relationships, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and years of struggling in silence.
For decades, I searched for love, validation, and a way to escape my pain. But no matter how hard I tried to push forward, I found myself trapped—repeating the very patterns I swore I would never expose my children to. I carried my wounds into my marriage, leading to years of power struggles, emotional disconnection, and deep resentment.
Until I made a choice.
